Create MARKETING COLLATERAL for the British Film Festival's fashion event.

concept /  

I wanted to create a clear and measured design playing on the calculated approach to fashion. Each of the iconic designers showing films in the festival have a specific style and tactical approach to their designs. i brought this through to my design with grid exposure, connected line work and boxed graphical elements.

CREATE A PRODUCT TARGETED AT A SPECIFIC DEMOGRAPHIC - THE COLOURBLIND. 

concept /

i CHOSE SQUID INK PASTA AS MY PRODUCT AND BASED MY DESIGN ON A REVERSE COLOUR BLIND TEST. I CREATED VISUAL LANGUAGE THAT INCORPORATED ELEMENTS THAT THE COLOURBLIND WOULD APPRECIATE AND MAKE THE PRODUCT UNIQUE TO THEM. 

USING COLOURS THAT THE COLOURBLIND WERE NOT EFFECTED BY - TONES OF BLUE AND GREEN - I DECIDED TO HIDE VISUAL CLUES IDENTIFYING EACH PRODUCT WITHIN THE GRAPHIC PATTERN I CREATED. THIS MEANT THAT THESE VISUAL CLUES WERE HIGHLIGHTED FOR THE COLOURBLIND, WHILE THE REMAINING PATTERN DISAPPEARED.

CREATE A NEW TOURISM IDENTITY FOR THE CITY OF ATHENS.

CONCEPT / 

I WANTED TO CREATe A SLEEK MODERN DESIGN TO REPRESENT NEW AGE ATHENS, WHILE STILL EMBRACING ITS BEAUTIFUL HISTORY. I CREATED CUSTOM LETTERING TO CREATE A FUTURISTIC TYPE LOCKUP REPRESENTING THIS MODERN CITY. BASED ON THE GREEK ALPHABET, THIS NEW LETTERING FEATURES BROKEN PIECES TO REPRESENT THE CITY'S TRANSITION TO MODERN AGE.

CREATE PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL FOR THE SYDNEY MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL.

CONCEPT / 

FOCUSING ON THE DIVERSITY OF MARDI GRAS, I CREATED A CUSTOM TYPEFACE BRINGING TOGETHER DIFFERENT SHAPES TO SYMBOLISE THE different people at mardis gras. i focused on the ACCEPTAncE AND UNITY OF THE DIVERSE CROWD and PAIRED it with SIMPLE GRAPHIC ELEMENTS tO SYMBOLISE THE FLASHING LIGHTS OF THE EVENTS HELD DURING THE FESTIVAL.

Create a campaign event for a company with an image problem.

CONCEPT / 

I created the branding and roll out for a campaign event to boost Kmart's homewares range. The event was based around a boutique style display home held by Kmart in a major shopping centre. For this project, I created custom typography with handmade cursive writing to be used for the project's main heading and throughout collateral. 

COLLATERAL /

Event poster, mobile application and a voucher booklet for the first 100 visitors to the event.
